EDVR FW, SW, Utility and Document Downloads
Except for the WaterMark Checking Utility, all FW, SW and user documents have support for five language; English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
EDVR Firmware
EDVR Firmware v1.54 has many improvements from the previous release of v1.53A as detailed in the Release Notes. Some of the highlights are:
- Revised translations and documentation
- Enabled switch between PAL and NTSC
- Improved record time calculator accuracy
Firmware Update Instructions:
- Identify the model of your EDVR, as 4, 9 or 16 channel
- Download the FW matching the number of channels in your machine.
- Unzip the file downloaded. This will extract this file -> update.bin
- Create a DVRVIDEO folder in your SD card if it doesn't already exist.
- Copy the update.bin file into the DVRVIDEO folder.
- The SD card is now ready for updating your EDVR.
- With unit power off, insert the SD card into the SD slot in your machine.
- Hold down the Power/Reset switch (recessed) for at least 3 sec to reboot. Hold the button until FW upload is started as indicated by the change in Load Size on screen.
- Upload will take a few minutes to complete.
- Follow on-screen instructions to reboot the unit.
EDVR Client Software
The improvements contained in version 3.75 are also detailed in the Release Notes. Some of the highlights are:
- Revised translations and documentation
Client Software Update Instructions:
- Unzip the file downloaded to a folder of your preference.
- Double click on the Setup.exe program to install.
EDVR WaterMark Checking Utility
In previous release, JPEG images but not AVI files exported from EDVR can be authenticated by the Image Viewer utility program. Now the WaterMark utility fulfills the need for AVI authentication. AVI files tampered with can be recognized by this utility. Note that Only AVI and JPG exported from EDVR are watermarked, not the ones from the Client software. Refer to the Release Notes for its usage.
EDVR Record Calculator
The Calculator utility is a companion for American Dynamic's Embedded Digital Video Recorder (EDVR). The purpose of this utility is to assist users in estimating how much record time is attainable in their EDVR systems with a known hard disk drive (HDD) size. It can also be used to estimate how much hard drive space is needed for a target recording duration.
Note: Some download consists of a zipped file. Unzip before use.
